Discovery Kids Dental is an in-network provider for Aetna dental insurance. If your child is covered under Aetna, your copay will be lower at our practice than at an out-of-network office. Before you schedule your appointment, it’s a good idea to check whether your Aetna plan has a dental insurance component, since it is not always included. However, all Aetna members are able to add dental coverage to an existing Aetna medical plan.
Different levels of coverage exist within Aetna’s dental program, so the cost of your dental service may be partially or completely covered. We can bill your insurance for any of our routine services including cleanings and checkups, or for other procedures, like oral surgery, root canals, and fillings.
Using Your Child’s Aetna Plan
If it’s your son or daughter’s first time visiting our office, or you have received a new insurance card since your last visit, be sure to bring the dental insurance card with you to your appointment. If you don’t have a physical copy of the card, not to worry! As long as you have your member ID or your social security number and date of birth, we can bill your insurance.
