Your First Dental Visit
It may seem early, but when your child’s teeth first emerge, you should consider visiting your dentist for an initial assessment. Usually, in your child’s first couple of years, dental visits aren’t too involved. However, scheduling dental visits early on instills good oral health practices, and can help your dentist understand how your child’s teeth will align and what issues may occur throughout adolescence.
At Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry, your first visit will be tailored to your child’s age. Generally, one of our dentists will do a visual exam, teeth cleaning, and x-rays if necessary. We offer a wide range of other services for patients who are further along in their dental journey.
Your First Orthodontic Visit
When your teen has alignment issues, braces may be recommended. To help your child develop a beautiful and healthy smile in adulthood, Dr. Haman uses various techniques to encourage proper alignment. Treatment can start as early as 7 years old, but we treat children and teens of all ages using space maintenance techniques and traditional braces.
